About:
Ron and Alison were both members of the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 and 28 years respectively, serving in the Air Force, and they also both worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade for about 10 years after leaving the military. Working for these departments, Ron and Alison were fortunate to be able to travel to a variety of countries. They met while stationed in Bermuda, and were later posted together to Beijing, China; Denver, Colorado and Lagos, Nigeria. Alison did tours in Haiti, Kenya, Djibouti and Italy, while Ron did tours in the Middle East and Alert (North Pole). Now retired, they both have time to dedicate to We Love Dogs on a somewhat regular basis. Alison assists Colby with the administration and finances, plus hopping on the front desk from time to time; and Ron is always repairing or building something new to make things a little easier at We Love Dogs. Both Ron and Alison are currently completing on-line training with respect to dog handling and the managing of a doggie daycare, and hope to put all of that new-found knowledge to work next time they are in Kamloops. In their off time, they both like to hike, camp, travel and spend time with their dogs.
Future plans:
Alison and Ron are seriously considering a move to Kamloops so that they can be closer to their family, and much more involved with the day-to-day operation of We Love Dogs.
